
UK MUSIC OUTLINING A PLAN TO GET LIVE MUSIC BACK ON TRACK
UK Music unveils ‘Let the Music Play: Save Our Summer 2021’ report outlining a plan to get live music back on track,it has been a very difficult year for live music industry in 2020 and this ongoing approach by the goverment not supporting the music industry will have to come to an end in 2021.
This week UK Music released a report entitled ‘Let The Music Play: Save Our Summer 2021’ which sets out the economic, social and cultural value of live music, along with a blueprint for reviving the live music sector. The report is free to view, so why not take a look yourself via the link below.
According to statistics from the Association of Independent Festivals, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a 90.2% drop in revenue for festivals in 2020, and with this brings fears of redundancies of up to 50% in the workforce. Shocking figures! As a result, the government is being called upon to introduce a Covid cancellation insurance scheme to protect festivals and live music events.
